- I have had the privilege of being able to spend over ten years working at the grassroots level investing in poor communities through a Christ-centered conservative paradigm. As an educator at an inner city school, I saw students compete yearly with the elite schools in the city on the State Writing Assessment by helping them embrace simple values such as hard work, personal responsibility, and a belief that they could compete. As a youth program director in an urban neighborhood, I have seen tremendous life change in students as they are challenged to take responsibility for living out their faith and using the talents God has given them to become assets to their communities.
